A brand new school for young people interested in acting and drama is set to open at the Lichfield Garrick Theatre next month.
The school will take students from the age of 11-19 and will take place on Sunday mornings in term time. The course concentrates on two main areas: stage acting and acting for the camera with occasional master classes throughout each term.
Tom Roberts, Garrick Rep Producer Tom Roberts said: "I am delighted the venture is underway.
"Hopefully this school will provide a showcase for talent and give students a chance to work in a professional theatre with experienced tutors.
"As well as teaching students new skills, this is great chance to make new friends, stretch the acting muscles and have fun at the same time."
The first term runs from Sunday September 28 to Sunday December 14 and costs £160 per person (subsequent sibling costs £100).
