Brownhills Musical Theatre Company is staging a lavish production which could cost up to a staggering £38,000.
The show Mack and Mabel will be performed at Lichfield Garrick Theatre from October 14-18 and there will be a special matinee production on Thursday October 16 at 2.30pm (tickets for matinee only at concessionary price £10).
But due to the high costs of staging this show members are keen to sell as many tickets as possible.
Costs include hire of the theatre, crew - and possibly even hire of a large van to transport props and equipment unless anyone kindly lends them one.
The show tells the story of how Mack discovers Mabel in 1911 and charts her rise to stardom until her death from a heroin overdose.
Billed as 'a show not to be missed' ticket details are available from 01543 302988 or the box office on 01543 412121.
