Singers' show with a swing

It's an exciting time for local group the Gateway Singers.

Tickets are now on sale for their next show which will be something different for the company.

They will be performing songs from the 'Rat Pack' era. The show 'If It Ain't Got That Swing' will be performed by the Gateway Singers at Cannock's Prince of Wales Centre on October 17 and 18.

It will feature the songs of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davies Jnr, Michael Buble and Peggy Lee.

Songs include Mack the Knife, Fly Me to the Moon, Lady is a Tramp, Blue Moon and more.

The show will also be performed for the mayor of Weston-Super-Mare the following week.

Gateway Singers received an invitation to perform in a theatre at the seaside resort on October 25. l You can catch the singers in action performing excerpts from the show on the bandstand at the top end of Cannock town centre on Saturday October 4, 11am-12 noon.
