A lavish production of Mack and Mabel is being staged by Brownhills Musical Theatre Company.

And it could cost the company up to £38,000 to put on the show at Lichfield's Garrick Theatre.

The show will be staged from October 14-18 with a matinee on Thursday October 16 at 2.30pm (£10 matinee only).

It tells the story of how Mack discovers Mabel in 1911, then charts her rise to stardom until her death of a heroin overdose.
