After defeating Bradwell Belles 6-3 the previous week away from home in Wyrley's first game of the season, Wyrley travelled down the road to Sporting Khalsa for their second match of the season.
Wyrley started the game in bright form without in form Kelly Highman and Mary Chandler who scored in the previous match. Wyrley had many chances in the first 10 minutes before Jade Brooks opened the scoring for the away team.
By half time the score was 5-0 to Wyrley with Brooks getting her hat-trick and Leanne Mitchell, Ashleigh Wilcox both netting for Wyrley.
Emily King had to come off in the second half after going in for a brave header to be replaced by Laura Millard and Chelsea Burns came on for Anna Jones.
Wyrley piled the pressure on Khalsa in the second half but the home side put Wyrley under pressure a couple of times, but the defensive combination of Richards, Taylor and Archer kept the home side at bay.
However Khalsa got a deserved consolation goal slotting the ball past Wyrley keeper Cresswell who had a quiet game.
In the final 10 minutes Sarah Forsyth chipped the goalkeeper to make it six with Jade Brooks getting her fourth and two well finished goals from Leanne Mitchell giving her a hat-trick to finish off the game. Wyrley's Players of the match Leanne Mitchell and Ashleigh Wilcox.
